SPORTS DAY CELEBRATION AT VIDHAYAPEET, BENGALURU

Sports keep a sound mind in a sound body. They have got optimum importance for our health. So the sports are becoming a part of the school curriculum in every state of India. Schools organized Sports Day in their schools to encourage and participate the students for their balanced growth. Vidyapeet, Bangaluru celebrated its Sports Day on 15^th February. The programmed was started by welcoming the chief guest. It was followed by the march past. The synchronized moment of the students was a feast to the eyes. The junior students participated in the sack race, tomato rave, and aerobatic display. The children provided much fun for the spectators. Then there was skating and cycling shows. Athletic and Karate events drew out many ‘oohs’ and ‘aahs’ from the crowd. Then sprinters and gymnasts competed with each other in races, relays, long jumps and high jumps. The programme came to an end by distributing prized to the winners. The chief guest stressed the need for the games. Children released balloons tied to the tip of the school building as a mark of the closure of the event. After refreshment, all left in high spirit.
