A recent visit to a blind school in your city has made extremely sympathetic and thoughtful for the need of helping the physically challenged. Express your thoughts in the form of a diary entry.

Thursday, Apr. 22nd 20xx

9.00 p.m.

Today’s visit to the XYZ Blind School has opened my eyes to the problems of the blind people. For the first time, I came to know that the problem is more serious for those who have lost their vision later in life than those who were born blind, as they had taken more time in getting adjusted in society. But it really is a brave front that these people are putting up. The school uses special techniques to equip students with education. They try to sharpen their other senses, such as touch hearing and smell in order to understand the world around them. Their books are printed in a special type of script, Braille, which uses risen out dots to help a blind student ready by touching the lines on the page. Another lesson that the blind students have taught me, is that nothing is impossible if one has the will to do it.

Tuesday, Aug. 10th, 20xx

8.00 p.m.

It’s only a month from today for the half-yearly exams to start. The previous terminals had not been a great success for me. I must plan properly if I want to do it nicely this time and wash away the blemish of my previous scoring. I have made a provision in my time-table for an increase in the duration of self-study for every subject from tomorrow onwards. Mathematics and History have been a sore to my results, hence I must give them at least 2 hours each day to finish the syllabus before time, and I think taking personal coaching for my difficulties in these two subjects will also help. I must also get some good help books having a good question bank to further sharpen my skills in all the subjects. Getting up early in the morning seems difficult for me, so I just take eat one rest in the afternoon, skip games mostly and study late till midnight to make up for it.
