Patrick James Cummins, an Australian cricketer who competes internationally and serves as team captain for both Test and One-Day International matches, was born on May 8, 1993.
Along with Travis Head, Cummins was named one of Australia's two test vice-captains in January 2019. where he recorded his first 10-wicket haul, he was the main architect of Australia's innings victory.
Following Tim Paine's departure, Cummins was named the 47th captain of the Australian Test cricket team on November 26, 2021. His vice-captain was introduced as Steve Smith.
Cummins attended University of Technology, Sydney under its Elite Athlete Program graduating in 2017 with a Bachelor of Business
