There are many public servants. The postman is one of them. He is an important and useful public servant. He wears a khaki uniform and carries a leather bag on his shoulder.

Every morning he goes to the post office to get the dak of his locality. He sorts the letters and goes from door to door delivery, Lener, parcels and money orders. He knocks at the door, delivers the letters and passes on. People wait early for this arrival. To some, he brings news of joy. to others’ news of sorrow. Rain or shine, heat or cold, he has to do his duty and he does it honestly.
The life of a postman is very hard. He enjoys a few holidays. His pay is small and he finds it rather difficult to make both ends meet. But he is satisfied with what he gets and leads a contented life.
The life of a village postman is even harder. He has to travel long distances to deliver the dak. He is a man of strong physique. He is not so highly educated. Often he read and writes letters for the villagers who respect him and reward him for his services.
The postman is a hard-working, simple and honest man. The government should also take steps to improve for him. He deserves our sympathy and regard for the good work that he does for us. We must not treat him harshly. We should always remember that he is our friend.
