A hobby is an activity’ in spare time. Man in modem times is awfully busy. Life is no life if it is full of care. One should stand and stare. The hobby is to do something for pleasure in one’s spare time. So it is different from regular work.
There are many kinds of hobbies. Some of the hobbies are gardening, photography, and stamp collecting, etc. My Favourite hobby is gardening. This hobby is not costly. On the other hand, it is paying. I have laid out a beautiful garden in the open space left in the back courtyard of our house. In this garden. I have planted vegetables, flowers, and other green plants. I work wholeheartedly in it. I prepare the beds properly. I have prepared a nursery in it.
In one part of the garden, I grow vegetables also. It is both useful and economical. I often invite my friends to visit my garden and show them the fruit of my labour. I sit in my garden and enjoy the sweet smell of flowers. I feel refreshed and cheerful.
I also grow vegetables. The vegetables are seasonal. I do not buy vegetables from the market. My vegetables are fresh. They are the product of good water and good manure. These vegetables are very delicious. Sometimes they are sold to the neighbours. I work here in the morning and in the evening.
I sit in my garden and enjoy the fresh air. This activity keeps me healthy and busy. It keeps me away from bad company. It is a source of pleasure and enjoyment.
It refreshes my mind and helps me to think better.
