Introduction

Road accidents are prevalent today. With so many people buying cars, the number of road accidents increases day by day. Moreover, people have become more reckless now. Not many people follow traffic laws. Especially in big cities, there are various modes of transportation. In addition, roads are becoming smaller, and cities are overcrowded.

Therefore, road accidents are inevitable. You pick up a newspaper and receive at least one or two news reports daily about road accidents. They cause loss of life and material possessions. People must be cautious when they are on the road, regardless of the type of transport. Even pedestrians are unsafe due to the increase in these incidents. People see dangers in the news, relatives, and even their eyes every day.

Road Accident Incident

I was on my way home from the shops when I saw a road accident. I was with my sister, and it was 6 p.m. In the middle of the road, we saw a crowd circling something. We were not sure what was going on as the first thought that came to our mind was probably an argument between two men. However, when we arrived at the scene, we found an accident.

After that, we knew the whole story. A man was crossing the road when he was struck by a truck, critically injuring him. The man was lying on the floor, bleeding profusely, and people were calling for an ambulance. We immediately called an ambulance, but time was running out. Therefore, the car driver took the man in his car and rushed him to the hospital.

After that, the police arrived, and people grabbed the driver and beat him. After police arrived, they arrested the driver and asked about the incident. We later discovered that the driver was intoxicated. Police detained him, and he went to the hospital to make a statement. Fortunately, the driver was declared safe. The doctors bandaged her wounds and told her she was still scared.

That experience made me realize how precious our lives are. Plus, about how we take it easy. We should all be cautious when we are on the road, on foot, or in a car that does not care. We can reduce the number of car accidents on the road.

Preventing Road Accidents

We need to avoid road accidents to reduce mortality. Thousands of people lose their lives in road accidents every year. Children should be taught from an early age the rules of the road. They must be taught the value of life and how to protect it.

In addition, the government should impose strict rules on people who do not obey traffic laws. They should be fined or punished if they are found to violate these laws regardless of gender.

Similarly, parents must set an example for their children by not using their cell phones while driving. Also, they should always wear protective helmets and belts to avoid accidents.
