Essay on a visit to an exhibition in 200 to 250 words

Last Sunday a grand exhibition was held in Pragati maidan. It was an industrial exhibition. Most of the States of India and some foreign countries took part in it.

One evening my friends and I went to see the exhibition. The whole area looked like a fairyland. It was decorated with bright colours and lit up with countless electric lights. There were many stalls and pavilions set up for the show. The exhibition was divided into different sections. More important among there

were the machinery section, the toys, and handicrafts sections and the section with the latest scientific inventions.

The Japanese, Russian and American stalls attracted a large number of visitors. All the stalls were like small or big shops and a hall for show or sale a variety of goods. There were numerous articles of daily use with such labels as ‘Made in Japan,’ ‘Made in India’ etc. The workings of the newly manufactured machines are also explained.

After a little rest and refreshment, we went to the children’s corner. It was crowded with boys and girls. There was a merry-go-round, the giant wheel with wooden horses and tumbling boxes; a small train, and many other types of amusements. We enjoyed it there and returned home late evening.
