Sir,

May I have the liberty to pen down my views on ‘the city roads‘ to be published in one of the columns of your esteemed daily? I am forced to draw the kind attention of authorities towards this pathetic issue of ‘deadly condition of the roads in the city’.

The city roads have turned into accident-prone zones. There are nothing else but potholes on the roads everywhere. The commuters can’t drive smoothly over the roads. Neither the pedestrians are safe or the vehicle-users. The situation has got worst during the rainy season. Due to water-logging, one can not find a safe way to move ahead as large as large pits are not visible which are waiting for their prey open -mounted.

Many complaints have been made to the concerned departments but of no use, as no action has been taken yet. These roads need to be repaired and maintained thereafter immediately. In fact, some roads need re-construction with good quality material.

Therefore, It is requested to look into the matter and publish these views so that the concerned authorities may wake up to take urgent action.
