Use of Has, Have, Had, Do, Did, & Does for Class 2

Has, Have and Had are used with pronouns in the sentences.

Use of Has

Has is used with pronouns like he, she, it, and singular nouns. It is used when an action is regularly happening.

Examples:-

  1. She has a fever.
  2. He has bought a new bicycle.
  3. Maya has too many chocolates.
  4. Riya has one pencil.
  5. It has started raining.
  6. Meena has a pen.
  7. He has an apple.
  8. The bird has flown.
  9. Riya has a pet dog.
  10. Arnav has to study.

Use of Have

Have is used with pronouns like you, I, we, and they and used with plural nouns.

Examples:-

  1. I have many books.
  2. Do you have a pen?
  3. We have bought a new dress.
  4. The students have fun.
  5. You have bought a new car
  6. They have plucked all flowers.
  7. You have no idea.
  8. They have chocolates in their pocket.
  9. You have a test tomorrow.
  10. They have a big house.

Use of Had

Had is used with pronouns like I, he, she, you, it, they, we, and also used with both singular and plural nouns.

Examples:-

  1. I had breakfast in the morning.
  2. She had to go market.
  3. He had lost his book.
  4. We had five apples.
  5. They had gone to the temple.
  6. We had to go there
  7. Sweta had forgotten her book.
  8. They had finished the work.
  9. I had lost my keys.
  10. The boys had a fight.

Do, did and does are verbs. It refers to an action that happens everyday.

Use of Do

Do is used with pronouns I, we, you, these, those, and they and with plural nouns.

Examples:

  1. I do my best.
  2. You do your work.
  3. We do our homework everyday.
  4. She do not like him.
  5. Do you like chocolates?

Use of Does

Does is used with pronouns he, she, it, this, that, and with singular nouns.

Examples:

  1. She does her exam.
  2. Pranav does a good job.
  3. Where does he live?
  4. She does everything.
  5. He does complete the work.

Use of Did

Did is used when the action is done or completed.

Examples:

  1. He did not have his lunch.
  2. She did complete her work.
  3. Did he call you?
  4. They did their best.
  5. Ravi did his homework.
