Verbs are divided into two classes on the basis of the method by which they form the past tense from the present, namely:
- Strong Verbs.
- Weak Verbs
Strong Verbs
Verbs which form their past tense by simply changing the vowel without adding ‘ed’, ‘d’ or ‘t’ are called strong verbs.

How to find out weak verb
- A verb which has ‘d’ or ‘t’ in the past is a weak verb.

- Verb ending with ‘d’ which turn into ‘t’ are weak verbs.
