Sentences for Class 2

When two or more words are joined together and make a meaningful statement it is called a sentence. A sentence should always be meaningful and convey a meaning.

A sentence always starts with a capital letter and ends with a full stop.

Examples:-

  1. He is a good boy.
  2. There is an apple.
  3. She is writing with a pen.
  4. It is a big tree.
  5. Naina likes to watch cartoons.

A Sentence ends with a question mark when we ask a question.

Examples:-

  1. Where are you going?
  2. What are you doing?
  3. Do you like it?
  4. Does he eat food?
  5. Who is your sister?

A sentence also ends with an exclamation mark when it has sudden excitements and experiences.

Examples:-

  1. What a beautiful dress!
  2. That’s amazing!
  3. Congratulations! It’s beautiful.
  4. That’s a gorgeous dress!
  5. Let’s go out!
