Worksheet 2 – Underline the Verb

Underline all the verbs in the present continuous tense in the following story

Tom is playing in the backyard. He is kicking a soccer ball and laughing with joy. His dog, Tuffy is chasing after the ball and barking happily. Tom’s mom is watching them from the porch. She is smiling and taking pictures of the playful scene. The sun is shining brightly, and the flowers in the garden are blooming. Tom’s little sister, Lily, is running outside. She is wearing a colourful dress and carrying a teddy bear. The three siblings are playing together, creating a lot of noise and laughter. Dad is preparing a surprise picnic for the family. Tom, Lily, and Max are excited as they see sandwiches, fruit, and juice laid out on a blanket.
