Please allow me some space for the following lines in the columns of your esteemed paper. Rash driving has become a fashion today. In their craze for speed, the reckless drivers fail to realize that they are not only risking their own lives but endangering the lives of other people also. On the busy roads of our city, rash driving is a curse. It leads to accidents every day. The car drives go fast through thick traffic. They do not care about the who walk on foot or go on bikes. The bus driver is always in a hurry to cover a maximum number of trips. He overtakes other buses to pick up more passengers not caring for the people on the road. Youngmen on scooters and motorbikes are rash by nature. Children, women, and old people are the worst hit the accidents cause loss to many innocent lives.

It is high time that the government and municipal authorities should adopt suitable measures to check rash and negligent driving. Those who break the rules should be heavily fined.
