Essay on A Rainy Day in Summer

In summer the heat is intense. Hot winds blow. A dark cloud or a shower of rains is always welcome. If the rainy does not fall people pray for it.

In a Rainy Day in summer is a day of enjoyment. When dark clouds cover the sky, we begin to dance with joy. When the breeze blows and rainfalls every heart is filled with delight.

One day it was extremely hot. The sun was shining brightly. There was no stir in the air. People were perspiring and took shelter in their rooms under fans. There was not a speck of cloud in the sky. All of a sudden the weather changed. The sky was overcast with dark clouds and it began to drizzle.

The drizzle changed into a heavy downpour. It began to rain in cats and dogs. A cool wind sprang up. The bazaars and streets were turned into small streams. Water ran down the gutters. The drains overflowed and there was water on all sides.

Little boys ran out in the streets. They bathed in the rain, made paper boats and floated them in the water.

The streets and bazaars looked deserted. A stray traveler could be seen here and there with an umbrella over his head. Traffic was held up.

It rained continuously for an hour. Then the clouds dispersed. A rainbow appeared in the sky. The weather became pleasant. It became clear again and people began to move out.

Everybody enjoys the rain in the summer.
